The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and the Science Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a comprehensive joint briefing, which was attended by a large number of foreign diplomats, and Pakistan’s diplomatic missions around the world. During the briefing, Amer Hashmi, Chairman STZA, highlighted the importance of a knowledge economy, as well as the exciting tech investment opportunities being offered in #Pakistan’s Special Technology Zones. STZA focuses on an ecosystem approach to harness the country’s technology potential and work towards scientific and technological growth and development.
Mr. Abdul Rahim Ahmad, CIO, and Mr. Hamza Saeed Orakzai, Director Planning and Strategic Communications STZA gave a detailed briefing on the digital one-window facilitation for Zone Developers and Zone Enterprises, as well the fiscal, forex, and administrative incentives being offered to Zone Enterprises and Zone Developers in the Special Technology Zones. The STZA delegation also held an interactive Q&A session with the members of the diplomatic corps and Pakistani diplomats across the world, who participated through an online link. This engagement is expected to increase the scale of cooperation, foster innovation, and bring future investments in the technology sector in Pakistan.
